Get fit Challenge

Your fitness challenge(s) for the weekweek three on the squat challenge and situp challenge with week two  This week on c25k...Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 90 seconds of jogging and two minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes...three times this week.
Your food challenge for the week: eating out.  I need to eat at home more and pack my lunch for work
How well did it go:  Very rainy and cold here this week...It was hard getting motivated to go out and run...but I did it!  Also I was working the super early shift this week...yuck.  Next week i'm working in the evening so it should be easier to fit in my workouts.  I did decide to join the hospital fitness center for the day that the weather is just too bad to exercise outside.  It's only $10 a month and it's open 24/7.  I got in an extra yoga workout (with Grant...see pictures).  Spencer says he wants to do yoga tonight... should be fun.
Failures and slip-ups:  I need to keep track of what i'm eating...or at least where it's coming from.  I think I ate out less this week but i can't remember.
Weekly challenge wisdom:  The hardest part is getting going...don't think...just do it. (repeat from last week but still true! and the only reason I make it through the week)
Advice to fellow GET FIT members:  Read the article I tweeted today...It's another good one
Goals this week:
C25K: Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then do two repetitions of the following:
  • Jog 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
  • Walk 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
  • Jog 400 yards (or 3 minutes)
  • Walk 400 yards (or three minutes)

  4. Oh that's way cool that you joined the hospital gym and did yoga with your kid. That's what motivation is!
Keep working on not eating out and if you do chose only veggies with no dressings, that'll be your lowest calories and healthiest option.
