Your food challenge for the week: eating out.
How well did it go: I didn't eat out at all. I packed my lunch for work both days I worked. Yay!!! Towards the end of last week I was starting to feel a cold settling in (both kids had been coughing all week) This week it's been getting worse all week...yuck. My abs were so sore from coughing that I could complete a single set on the sit up challenge but I did manage to complete the whole week on the squat challenge and actually did over 600 squats this week! I got out an ran twice this week but i think my lungs just weren't all there. but the point is that I did it. (I did skip one of my runs)
Failures and slip-ups: I skipped on run, I would like to say it was due to being sick but really I think I could have done it and I decided not to.
Weekly challenge wisdom: If you're not feeling well it's ok to cut back on your workout but you will feel better if you do something physical every day.
Advice to fellow GET FIT members: even though we are doing this for ourselves right now it will benefit our families in the long run. They are seeing us eat better and move more and thats a great thing. (Parent magazine is doing a 12 week get fit as a family challenge...looks like fun. If you sign up you can win a trip to hawaii)
Goals this week:
I am repeating week 3 of the situp challenge and week 3 of C25k but moving on to week 5 of the squat challenge.
C25K: Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then do two repetitions of the following:
- Jog 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
- Walk 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
- Jog 400 yards (or 3 minutes)
- Walk 400 yards (or three minutes)
