Sledding at hoodoo

We've done our share of redneck sledding...
Laundry basket
Cardboard box

but now we are sledding in style!
picking out the best sleds

playing in the snow

sledding

Spencer and mommy went with the double tubes

Then Spencer decided he could fly solo

the tubing hill...usually the lift will take you all the way up to the tree line but there hasn't been enough snow :-(

Resolutions anyone?

I don't generally go for new year's resolutions but our household has some new goals this coming year.

It's time for the boys to help out and start learning some money management skills.
So we have job charts

They can earn 3 stars per day, one for cleaning up dirty dishes, one for putting laundry in the hamper and one for cleaning up their toys. At the end of the week they get an allowance based the number of stars earned for each task. Up to a quarter per job, per week.

As a family we are giving up cable and DVR...this one is waiting until after football season though.

My goal is to workout more since my pants got pretty tight over the holidays. I am rewarding myself for each 7000 calories burned. (it thinking new workout gear and massages for rewards)

Also we are also getting our house organized and keeping it that way with:

Happy new year!
