Sledding...Indiana Style

So instead of 4 inches of snow we got about an inch, maybe two covered with a thick sheet of ice. Will told me several times in the middle of the night that it was snowing so the first thing I did this morning was look out the window to see how much we got. What I saw was our Jeep parked in the middle of the street. I guess when Will got home last night he parked all of the way at the top of our driveway (just to be safe) which gave the car all of the momentum it needed to slide into the middle of the street completely blocking Marywood Drive. Our neighbors must love us. I got all bundled up and went out to move the car to the side of the road but when I got out there it was also covered in ice and I couldn't get the driver's side door open. So I climbed in the passenger side started the car and opened the driver's side door from the inside (This way I can use all of that postpartum weight to my advantage). I needed the driver's side door open so I could see where I was driving because the windows were all to covered with ice to open and I was NOT about to scrape them. By the time all was said and done the jeep was parked in the front lawn and I didn't even hit the mailbox (or anything else).
Several hours later I noticed a kid sledding in the yard behind ours and decided Spencer might like sledding...too bad we don't own a sled. So I start looking for something that might work. This is what I came up with.
It's a laundry basket and a belt. At least Spencer couldn't fall out. We took several spins around the yard before the sleet started again and I got all tuckered out. It's nap time now...for everyone...even me.
