poop

Me: Spencer, why was there poop in your underpants?
Spencer: It was my butt, not me. My butt pooped in my underpants.

How should I have responded to that?

Church clothes

We were getting everyone dressed for church, running late as usual. I put Spencer in a plaid shirt and navy pants, as I was putting on his belt he said "I need a tie, Where's my tie?" He's had one tie. It was too short a year ago when we bought it so he hasn't ever worn it. I dug it out of Grant's closet and clipped it onto Spencer's shirt. While I was brushing my teeth, Spencer was looking for shoes. He found the perfect pair (for my outfit). I convinced him that he should wear his shoes because I can't wear his shoes.

Rocketships

Last Week I came home from work to find rocketships. Will had build them for the boys out of leftover boxes. He even let Spencer help paint them.

YouZeum

The boy and I spent part of the long weekend with my momma. We met half way in Columbia Missouri. Most places were closed on labor day so we spent the day in the hotel pool. We got to spend a couple hour at the YouZeum before coming back home. The boys had a great time with Grandma.

Grandma...You have to see this there's a mommy at the end of the tunnel!!

Gattitown

We were planning on going to the baseball game tonight but got rained out. Gattitown instead (think Chuck-e-cheese with a buffet)
Grant actually was smiling the whole time except when he saw the camera. He hates the camera. Spencer was scared and crying but trying to put on a brave face for the picture.

This kid LOVES air hockey!!!

A new swing set...to be continued

Ta-da. Our swing set is done (almost). Upgrades include a rock arch ladder to the upper deck, a view of the stars (no icky canopy). Railings that match our deck. Wooden swing bar with brand new swings (except Grant's baby swing). Crabby sandbox (naked kid not included...we had to provide our own for this picture). Lower deck with rock wall access and recycled slide. Patios at both ends to cut down on weed eating work for daddy.
New (above) vs old (below)

We were actually able to us almost all recycled wood (only had to buy 2 pieces). Both slides were also reused. Yay for going green.
