Happy birthday Spencer...part 2

We started our day at the Zoo with the Fritsche's. (more pictures on their blog)
The highlight for the big boys was a stop at the fountains on the way out.
He doesn't really bite. That's his zoo shirt...he loves it.
After some dry clothes and nice long nap it was time for presents. Spencer got a wheelbarrow and some books and puzzles. This evening he got to choose supper so we all ate hot dogs and macaroni and cheese (I added veggies to the menu) and Popsicles for dessert. Spencer had a great day.

Happy Birthday Spencer!!!

These are pictures from Spencer's party in Nebraska.
Action Shot. One candle down, two to go.

The candles for relit several times.

Happy Fourth of July

I finally unpacked my camera (and everything else) after our trip to Nebraska for the 4th. We had a good time. My high school reunion was uneventful. Spencer and Grant got to see great grandma Reinmiller (she flew all the way from Texas to meet us in Nebraska.) It was a great trip.
Fireworks!!! These sparklers were actually left over from our wedding. Spencer is not participating in the pyromania because he got attacked by a flaming tractor. Earlier in the day Will sent Spencer and I to the fireworks stand to buy fun stuff that Spencer might enjoy. Spencer was only kind of interested (he didn't really know what fireworks were all about) until he found the tractor. It was green and came in a nice box. It actually looked like a toy. We lit of a bunch of smoke balls and stuff like that which Spencer seemed to enjoy so we tried his tractor. It started off with some smoke coming out of the smokestack then it took off screaming and shooting sparks. When it ran into my parents' fence, the tractor turned around and started chasing Spencer. Needless to say he was done with fireworks after that.
Watching the grand parade. Grant was asleep in the stroller until the fire engines came through.
Cousins on the trolley at the mall. Do people actually ever put money in these things?

Grant Stats

Went to the Doctor today. Grant is 6 months old and up to 17 pound 13 ounces. He's 27 inches long which is almost an inch longer than Spencer was at 6 months.

Burdette Park

A good way to beat the heat. We all had a blast until Grant got stung by a bee on his nose. This bee had been hanging around the baby pool all day and I guess it finially decided on Grant for it's mark. So far he seems ok but we will see tomorrow.

These are actually over a week old but still worth posting.
